It must be springtime because it’s sunny, 60 degrees, snowing, there’s a rainbow over Sentinel, and it’s time for Missoula Gives! We know there are lots of organizations in town who could use your support, and hope you’ll consider sending us a little love as well.
The fundraiser has officially started and we have already raised over $6,000 thanks to some very generous donors including Bedrock Sandals (I'm wearing a pair of their clogs now!). What do your donations support?
Nic and Dunlin up in the mountains all week in the rain and snow making sure the trails are in tip top shape
Hello Kitty feeling "polished," as board member Cory put it before leaving a meeting to head back up there for another session
New proposals hitting our desks early next week for some exciting work to be done BUT I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING MORE BECAUSE IT'S SECRET SO DON'T ASK! Just know you'll be stoked.
Grant applications that take time and research to coordinate and write up
Land use studies read and researched to better inform land managers and to better advocate for access
Chainsaw certification for all staff to be able to work in the field clearing trees whenever needed
Insurance, bills, truck maintenance, gas, equipment/tools, and other boring but necessary stuff
And planning for some really not boring stuff that we can't talk about yet but you'll have way more fun riding than reading about anyway
Also, if anyone is free tonight, April 30, Dram Shop downtown is kicking off Missoula Gives with a pint of our new Big Sky Brewing beer, available only at Dram Shop, the BSB tap house, and at our events! A dollar from each pint goes to us so it's another way to support us and some really great businesses who have always had our backs. Stop by around 6pm, Andrew will be there to say hi, help you renew your membership if you haven't already, and take donations to our Missoula Gives page if you'd like.
