Lolo N.F. Plan Revision

ree

MTB Missoula has been eagerly anticipating the Lolo Forest Plan revision project for some time. We're excited that the Forest Service planning team has kicked off the public engagement portion of the project and are actively refining our positions. Take a look at our preliminary comments here to get a sense for our initial priorities.

Forest plans are intended to be a broad guiding document for management decisions on a given national forest. They do not drill down to the scale of specific sites or trails. For this reasons, we'll focus our efforts on access and opportunities for trail development.

The Lolo Forest Plan revision will be the main focus for the Advocacy Committee in 2023. If you have an interest in land-use planning, please consider getting involved by attending public meetings and helping shape our policy positions. The MTB Missoula Advocacy Committee meets every second Monday of the month, 12 PM on Zoom.
