The Homesteader 6 is a new event for racers, soul riders, weekened warriors, and local heroes at the Missoula XC. Race solo, find a buddy, or assemble a team of three to see how far you can go in six hours of racing. This race sports all of the support of the Missoula XC, with a bit more laid back vibe for local riders.

Course

Accepted Answer

The course at the Homesteader 6 is a little bit of old and a little bit of new. Plan on a route that bypasses much of the old UCI course and highlights the new trail developments at the heart of MTB Missoula and Five Valley Land Trust’s partnership. Expect 6-8 miles and a nice mixture of dirt roads and fun singletrack. We expect fast laps to take about 45 minutes. You’ll find flow. You’ll find tech. You’ll be ready for a beer at the end.

Want to be a part of the show, but not sure you’re feeling up to racing? We always need volunteers to help out with course marking, registration, and more! 
 
Sign up to volunteer, and we’ll get you some MTB Missoula swag, lunch at the race, and all the beer you can drink.

Camping
 
Tent and RV camping is available at every Western Montana Trail Series event, and the Missoula XC is no different. Primitive camping is available at the race venue, and porta potties are supplied. Please plan on bringing your own water, and haul out your trash! You can reach out to Ben (ben@mtbmissoula.org) for more information.
 
Hotels
 
Missoula has no shortage of great hotels right downtown, close to bike shops, restaurants, and breweries. We’re finalizing details on a preferred hotel, and we’ll let you know the details once they’re ready!
